The Critical parameter sheet shows the complete process in a production step. The CPS looks at what influences the output of a production step eg uniformity, strengths, deviations, life span, etc.

When to use

The Critical Parameter Sheet is mainly used in the α- en β-phase when there is looked more in depth into the processes.

The Critical Parameter Sheet is used:

  • to get a view on what parameters influence the process
  • as input of a DoE

Description

There is started by looking at the output criteria of the process. After this you look at the incoming products/materials where you have no influence on. After this there is looked at what is added to these products/materials There is looked not only at materials, but also settings. Many of these materials and settings have influence on multiple output criteria. Show in a drawing which parameters influence which output criteria. Because you use this tool in the α-phase, you know what has influence and what not. This can decrease the number of measurements by quite a lot. Tests are set up for the parameters you would like to know more of. A DoE is a good tool for these tests.
