Alpha phase Rapport Print E-mail

A clear and transparent rapport is also in this phase very important. It is however also important that products can be shown after this phase. It would be super if the product would meet with internal and external (costumers) specifications.

The first part of the rapport is about the production process. Show the definitive solution for every process step. After this go deeper into each process step by showing its performance and the maturity grid. Show how far the way is to your end goal.

The second part is the financial picture. Give an overview of costs for materials, modules and personnel. The last one is always difficult, however this is always a big chunk of the pies o very important. Make an estimation of the cost prize of the product this can easily be done by Cost of Ownership calculation. A cost of Ownership calculation takes the costs of personnel, consumables, machines, energy, overhead, loans, etc. A cycle time, uptime and yield are estimated which comes to an output. Dividing these two by each other gives a cost prize of the product. Check if it corresponds to the prize research (part of the market research) that was done in the orientation phase.

This is also the time to make contact with the first costumers. Show a summary of what has been done and what needs to be done. Let them give their input and take this into account.
