The financial plan is an un-excludable addition to the business plan. Its even mandatory in some cases when creating a new company. The main purpose of a financial plan is simpel: helping you estimate the needs and means you have and checking if they are ballansed. The financial plan needs to show that the finances are sufficient for running the company at least two years.

Looking at the law the financial plan is described as no more than the business plan. In practice some elements need to be included:
  • Pre-determination of the results
  • Financial structure of the organisation
  • The actual financial plan that shows the evolution of results, needs and means over a period of two to three years
